What is Yamuna Body Rolling?

Yamuna Body Rolling is a non impact technique that is effective for every one. The concept is really quite simple: your body weight sinks into specifically sized balls to target superficial skin, fasciae, muscle fibers, tendons, ligaments, and  bones. This unique method combines aspects of both exercise and therapeutic treatment into a program you can learn to do on your own.

What  Happens In  a Body Rolling Class?

Our Yamuna Body Rolling Classes will teach you the techniques and routines you need to know to release each part of the body. Some balls allow for more detailed muscle and tissue work while other balls release tension to create relaxation and space from head to toe. As you roll through the body you actually feel your bones, your tendons and your muscles and gain a better sense of  your own anatomy. The ball becomes the skilled hands of a therapist as you allow the ball to sink deep to the bone, providing bone stimulation, reviving your tendons, muscles and ligaments. The routines in a body rolling class also focus on tractioning  the spine and opening the hips, knees and shoulders. The end result is a body that feels less restricted, more open, and more elongated.

How is Body Rolling Different than Other Muscular Release Techiques?

The extraordinary effect of Body Rolling is that it increases muscle flexibility and range of motion safely and effectively.In addition to elasticity resulting from the conventional stretch methods the cross fibering of muscle utilized in the Body Rolling routines enables the body to move more dynamically and accesses all intended muscle fibers . Also, Body Rolling can easily access to abdominal muscles and internal organs even though regular stretching cannot usually target those sensitive areas. For example, YBR can expand the rib cage to increase the lung capacity, and open the pelvis.

Body Rolling is offered in a group class or as a private training.
